The Jimmie Jack Fishing Company specializes in Alaska Halibut fishing out of Homer, Alaska, Homer is know as the “Halibut Capital of the World.” Our saltwater fishing charter boat, F/V POGO is a 34′ Bay Weld cabin cruiser with a heated, enclosed cabin and a private head (bathroom). Bay Weld boats are made in Homer, and known for quality. A wide beam and commercial style hull gives this boat a very stable fishing platform with a deep V hull for a comfortable ride. This back deck is one of the largest back decks for a 6-pack boat in Homer.
We are powered with quiet twin Volvo 260 diesel motors to get you to the fish fast! Our boat is equipped with state of the art electronics for fish location, navigation and communication. GPS chart plotters make it easy to stay on the fish and navigate in poor visibility. VHF radios are equipped with scramblers to keep our captain one step ahead of the competition. Six people can fish very comfortably aboard our boat and we will take no more than six at a time. You will have our top-notch coast guard licensed Captain with years of local fishing experience as your guide.
