Kenai king salmon are the largest of all salmon.
The world record king salmon weighing 97# 4 oz. was caught on the Kenai River. Four of the five largest king salmon caught on rod and reel were caught on the Kenai River. These fish all weighed over 90 pounds. King salmon in the Kenai River average 45 pounds. Many kings in the 60-70 pound range are caught on Jimmie Jack's boats every season.
